Valerie designs and leads creative workshops in theatre and filmmaking for children, teenagers and young adults.
She creates a 30 to 40 minutes movie with a group of 12 to 20 participants and screen it in professional conditions for an audience.
She works on specific genres such as detective, musical, sci-fi ; creates parodies sometimes or even mixes the genres according to what is decided with the group.
She creates inclusive environments where each participatant is able to choose what they want to do in the movie, from acting to filming. The children have all kinds of possible roles: screenwriters for some of the scenes, hair and make up, scenographers, costumes designers… 1 or 2 participants are always in charge of the memory of the workshop by taking pictures, filming or drawing.

“In my workshops, I love exploring with the students all the amazing possibilities that the voice got, that everyone realizes that they can sing. I also work a lot on the “actor posture”: body, voice, presence, look, connection to the others… The workshop is as much about acting as about creating a movie of course. My strong attention to detail and commitment to quality help me create carefully prepared and meaningful experiences.
Technically, I film with a small professional camera that allows me to move easily in any place and I propose two possible options regarding the format:
a weekly version during 6/8 weeks or more, or an intensive version over a whole week at different moments of the year.”
